I first joined DeviantArt a good few months ago, when Pixie (my wonderful wife Xowie, known as Pixie due to being petite and somewhat vertically-challenged) and I moved from Wiltshire to Devon.

Having lived in beautiful, mystical and landlocked Wiltshire most of my adult life, it's still gradually sinking in that 1) I can actually see the sea from my windows, and be on the beach in a few minutes, and 2) there are stone circles and mystical sites in other places than Salisbury Plain!

What should I add here? That I'm a long-haired, bearded, tree-hugging hippie? That I'm a practicing Druid, a Swordbearer to several Druid Orders, and can be found on significant days gazing into the rising sun and welcoming in the dawn? That I'm a professional graphic designer who's also a digital artist and photographer? That I immerse myself in loud rock music when I work and have a massive collection of vinyl albums and CDs, even without the mp3s in my iTunes? All of this is true, but probably irrelevant. That I'm enjoying seeing all the beautiful images and conversing with wonderful people on this site? Also true, and very satisfying!

Having grown disillusioned with other photography and art sites who seem to despise photo-manipulations and Photoshop Art as being somehow "impure", I'm so pleased to be here where we're all doing our own work and expressing ourselves regardless of media!
